DSS 2015 is a summer festival which gathers residents and visitors from around the region and gives us all a chance to escape the summer heat. People can take advantage of 45 fun-filled days of shopping and entertainment at various malls around town. So, whether you are a visitor or a resident, here’s a guide to the various activities happening during DSS 2015.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Challenge accepted!
It’s time for a challenge, gather your friends and family and take part in the Sonic themed obstacle course at the mall. Participants can win a range of prizes and also get the chance to meet Sonic the Hedgehog for free!

Bring out the little fashionistas
Is your kid the next top model? Put on their best outfit and showoff your child’s talent at the Fashion Catwalk in Dubai Mall. Also, on the first two days of the show, your kids will get to watch international icons like Jaden and Willow Smith in a concert.

Meet and greet Dora the explorer
We’ve all been part of Dora’s adventures on TV and now the kids can finally get a chance to meet her in person. If your child is a Dora fan, take them for a live stage show and a meet and greet session with Dora for free.

Modhesh World
Everyone loves the Dubai Summer Surprises smiling mascot, Modhesh. This year Modhesh World will occupy more than 34,000 square meters and will include new games such as, The Mirror Maze, The Slide, Valkyrie and more. So why not take your kids for an evening filled with new rides and games for only AED 20!
And, did you know that the whole family can enjoy Modhesh World too? There are plenty of places where parents can rest such as lounges and restaurants while their kids are off to play.

Tweety & Sylvester are in town
Take your kids to enjoy the stage show and find out what happens between the hungry Sylvester and clever Tweety. There will be three shows everyday for 20 minutes in Mirdif City Centre. After the show, kids can also take a part in fun workshops with the two characters.

Sing along with Nancy
Nancy Ajram is an Arab superstar who is well known in the middle east. After the release of her kids album , Nancy is finally coming to Dubai to sing live in concert for the kids! All you have to do is pay the entry fees to Modhesh World (AED 20) and watch the concert! So, make sure you get there before to get the good seats.
