Heavy fines due to reckless driving and parking can be frustrating when you are rushing to your destination.  But here’s the good news! Drivers in Abu Dhabi can now use the 25% discount on parking fines starting from the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

Reduce Your Parking Fine Cost

Motorists in Abu Dhabi now have the opportunity to avail a 25 percent discount on parking fines. However, this is valid only if they pay the amount within 30 days of fines being issued.

Drivers will be able to use this discount starting from the first day of Eid Al Fitr. Moreover, this was introduced for drivers who paid their fines with 15 days of their issuance. However, the period was extended to a month until Eid al Fitr.

This was implemented to ease payment on the expat community which is about 80 percent of UAE population. Furthermore, the Abu Dhabi Executive Committee also approved a proposal to reduce tourism fees from 6 to 3.5 percent and municipality fees to 2 percent.

Moreover, through the new $13.6bn (AED50bn) plan Abu Dhabi hopes to grow its economy in various sectors. These range from infrastructure to tourism and SMEs.
