Spring break is here! It also means school’s out for the week and you have to find ways to keep your kids entertained. In the UAE, there are plenty of spring camp options. Here kids can have fun and at the same time build on their skills such as acting, swimming or arts and crafts. To help you get started, below is a list of a few camps you can check out this spring break.

For the little artists

Check out the  Little Folks Art Program at the Inspire Children’s Nursery. It offers a spring camp that focuses on folk art and includes activities such as dot paintings, cave drawings, feather work, pottery, pebble painting and mask making. Other play based learning activities for children include, yoga, puppet shows, jewelry making, story telling,  and nature hunt. Prices start from AED 150 per day.

For the young innovators

Bright Sparks Early Learning Centre has launched its Little Spark’s Workshop this spring. This construction themed workshop is great for young innovative and imaginative explorers who will be engaged in designing and building mini projects using interesting natural resources and materials. Apart from learning, there are also plenty of arts, movement and play activities to keep your child entertained. Prices start at AED 875 per week.

For the young scientists

Safari Kid Nursery is offering a two weeks of fun filled learning program during the spring break. The first week will be centered on themes of spring and growing. Children will study nature by engaging in activities such as planting seeds, watching them grow and gardening. The second week will be based on their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math education) program. During this week, children will be encouraged to explore, observe and ask questions based on their learning. Other activities include junior masterchef cookery, LEGO Robotics, public speaking, drama activities and soccer. Prices start at AED 750 per week.

For the drama queens

If your child is a talented actor, enroll them in Drama Scene’s theatrical workshop. Children will learn skills such as acting, musical theater, prop and costume design and will work towards a performance to be held at the end of the week. For the fashion lovers

Is your little one a diva in the making? If its all about fashion, encourage your little one to join the fashion camp this spring.  The Fashion Designer Kidz Spring Camp at the Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre offers a fun and creative learning program which teaches children design and stitching their own creations on a real sewing machine. Prices are at AED 1200 per week.

For the swimmers

Spring holidays are a good time to learn new skills. The High Performance Swimming Club has organised a spring holiday camp for those who wish to learn or excel at swimming. The 45 minutes long swimming lessons will be taught by professional coaches at the Hartland International school, Al Maktoum City. Your child will be evaluated throughout the swimming course and will receive a High Performance Swimming Club certificate at the end of the course. Prices start at AED 350 per week.
