Residents will enjoy a minimum of 10 days of UAE public holidays in 2014.

Besides New Year’s and National day, dates for  Islamic holiday are subject to change, as they are based on the Islamic (Hijri) calendar. Since it is a lunar calendar, the dates are announced on moon sightings.

Previously, holidays such as the Prophet’s Birthday were shifted so residents could enjoy longer weekends.
