Cultural experiences
Turn your kids into little explores, take them to old Dubai this spring break. It’s a great way to spend less and give your family a cultural experience. Head to the Bastakiya District where your kids can explore old mud houses and wind towers, giving them a sense of what the city used to be like decades ago.
Check out the Heritage Village in Shindagha area. Book a tour and see how houses were built, how pearl divers worked and how ships were set sail. While you are there, visit the Al Ahmadiya School built in 1912. Your kids can get a sense of what school was like before the internet age. There is plenty more to see like various museums and the Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House. After a fun filled evening exploring old Dubai, relax by the creek and enjoy some traditional Emirati food.
