Sheikh Mohammed approves Dubai government employees’ retirement and pension plan
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, released last week Decree No. 21 of 2017. The decree passes the pension and retirement procedures applicable to the employees of Dubai Government. It comes to guarantee equal chances and opportunities for Dubai Government employees and further highlight and protect the rights of pensioners and define the retirement procedures

RTA- Pay for your retail purchases now using your Nol card!
On Wednesday, the 12th of July,2017 the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed a “Memorandum of Understanding” with Network International to formally launch Nol payment for retail purchases. This was introduced to make it possible to consumers to expand from the transport network payments to retail store network. For starters, Nol cards can be used across all Zoom convenience stores in metro and petrol stations. The card is set to expand across 1000 retails stores this year and 10,000 by next year. Silver and Gold card owners have a maximum debit capacity of Dh 1,000 while Blue card owners can have up to Dh5,000
Sharjah records 10,000 traffic violations in the first two weeks of July since the new federal law came into effect.
It has been 20 days since the new Federal Traffic Law regulation has come into effect and the emirate of Sharjah has already witnessed a staggering number of violators who seem to be having trouble adjusting to the new rules. The regulation was effective July 1st, 2017 as a result of the rising number of accidents and death tolls across the country roads, and authorities in hopes of ensuring road safety and healthy driving behavior have instated a set of new laws and regulations that all residents and drivers should abide by.
